AskJeeves Search
AskJeeves is a human-powered search service that aims to
direct you to the exact page that answers your question.
If it fails to find a match within its own database, then
it will provide matching web pages from various search engines.
The service went into beta in mid-April 1997 and opened
fully on June 1, 1997. AskJeeves receives its main/organic
Results from the Teoma
search engine, but it also uses Google's
sponsored results.
AskJeeves is a search engine that answers questions. When
you enter a term or ask a question, AskJeeves responds with
a list of questions to choose from. From there you are given
more traditional style search results. The sponsored returns
are provided by Google, and the rest of the results returned
are provided by Teoma's relevant sites for the search phrase.
