Flat out NO... At SEO Central, "Search Engine Placement Services"
are and always will be practiced in accordance with the search engines
own terms of service. That is why we do not use automated submission...
ever!
And for good reason. There are less than 10 PROPER search engines
that bring more than 95% of ALL search engine traffic. The rest
of the 9,990 some odd search engines, these "SEO companies"
submit to, are either very small search engines that bring zero
traffic to your web site, or more likely, they are what are known
as FFA's (Free For Alls) which are essentially link lists or link
farms. You end up on the list for about an hour and then you are
pushed off the pages by the next load of submissions. Not only that,
but your email address is then used to spam you to death. I know,
as I made the mistake years ago of trying them out.
Automated submission is a very dangerous game to play in deed,
due to Google's policy about penalizing link farms and the "bad
neighborhood" penalties that are known to exist. Be very wary
of the "we submit to 10,000 + search engines" scams!
It is normally done with automatic submission using software which
can be bought for less than hundred dollars. Automatic submissions
are frowned upon by just about every serious search property in
existance.... So Beware!

Engine Placement and Cloaking
Cloaking is "bad practice" search engine optimization
and positioning, and can lead to your site being banned or penalized.
With Cloaking, techniqueal methods of analyzing search engine robot
IP numbers and human http user agents are used in order to differentiate
between the two. This allows the robots to be delivered a completely
different page as is the human visitor.
Each search engine has a range of IP numbers which they use when
spidering web sites. Cloaking determines whether a visitor is "human"
or a "search engine robot". If the visitor is a search
engine robot then a special optimized page is delivered for indexing.
If it is a human visitor then a normal web page is delivered.
There are legitimate uses for cloaking (GEO delivery) but it is
not something search engines officially approve of. We at SEO Central
do not risk our clients site with this technology. Some competitors
do, but that is their choice. The main authority on cloaking in
general has to be Fantomaster's cloaking site. SEO Central is in
no way affiliated or partnered with Fantomaster.

Yes, PageRank is Extremely important...
PageRank is one of the methods Google
uses to determine a page’s relevance or importance. It is
only one part of the story when it comes to the Google listing,
but it is an important one.
In recent years, since Google started the link popularity weighting
going with their Google PageRank, incoming links have become increasingly
important. It is now at the stage that regardless of on-page optimization,
if a web site has no or very few incoming links, it is near impossible
to get a high search engine placement or ranking.
With Google, it is not just the number of incoming links, it is
their quality (relevance), and the number of out going links on
the source page. A very good start to getting good link popularity
and Google PageRank is to get back links from DMOZ
and Yahoo!. Also be sure to have your keywords in the link text
(anchor text)... and don't forget about the smaller directories,
especially those that are on topic.

to all the major general directory services as well as the smaller
topic specific directory services... it's one of the best sources
of back links that lead to a high link popularity and PR.

There is a plethora of "bad practice" search engine optimization
and placement technique's used by webmasters and other web service
providers, in an attempt to gain higher search engine ranking for
a website. At SEO Central, we have never followed any dubious practices

out of sight position, and we do not hide any keywords in form of
HTML tags whether they are visible or not.
Techniques that may once have been thought to be partially affective
such as the adaptation of alt image or even comment tags where ceased
by us a long time ago. We also do not recommend you place any other
text out of sight, such as having to scroll down through empty area's
of a page to find text embedded at the bottom. We employ optimization
that enhances your original site, its meta tags, title, body content
and link structure to draw global results.

banned for at least some of the above listed practices.
